The rough variety is medium length with feathering on. They just differ in length and texture and of course the way to manage their fur. Smooth coat border collies are purebred bc dogs. In general border collies are medium sized dogs with a moderate amount of coat which is more often thick and prone to shedding they have a double coat that varies from smooth to rough and is occasionally curled. You can see in the photos that lone is more bearded than kyp. The borgi will measure between 10 to 21 inches tall and weigh between 30 to 40 pounds and be a medium sized breed.
